How Breathable Film Works
Although it resembles a plastic film, this is a breathable microporous film. The micropores are the most critical element. Since the minimum diameter of a water droplet is 20 µm, 

while a water vapor molecule is 0.0004 µm, the micropores are sized in between. This design ensures the film is breathable yet impermeable to liquid water.
