Carrier tissue is a functional layer used to wrap and carry the absorbent core (fluff pulp + SAP) in baby diapers, sanitary napkins, and adult incontinence products. 

It adds structural integrity to the pad and helps reduce pinholes caused by super absorbent particles that could otherwise damage the inner plastic film. In some configurations, carrier tissue can be replaced with low-gate carrier SMS nonwoven or SS nonwoven.
