Carrier tissue is a functional layer used to wrap and support the absorbent core (fluff pulp and SAP) in diapers and sanitary products. 

Its primary role is to add structural integrity to the pad and to reduce the risk of pinholes caused by superabsorbent particles damaging the inner plastic film. In some production lines, this tissue can be replaced with a low-gate carrier SMS or SS nonwoven, offering flexibility in material selection.
